Hi, I am Noor! The London raised and Mauritian born Muslim female travel and lifestyle blogger, who has travelled through 20+ countries under the age of 30, whilst working a full-time 9-5 corporate Cyber Security job.
Who says you have to quit one dream to fulfill another eh!?
Being born into a multicultural family and having grown up in the most diverse city in the world, I have always had a deep interest in the many cultures that exist among us.
Paired together with my love of movies, I have always known I wanted to see the world when I grow up and star in my own little movie of life. Little did I know, this is what we call wanderlust. A magical feeling that can only be cured by traveling. Even as a child whilst other kids would be playing house, I would be playing make-believe running around with my many handbags and oversize heels, ‘travelling’ to whichever country I last saw on the telly.
So as soon as I graduated, you guessed it, my travel journey began. Dubai was the ‘it’ place in 2014 and I was able to finally visit it as my graduation gift to myself. I still remember how surreal the trip felt that I, the girl from humble beginnings, actually made it there!
I was able to go on a few more adventures until my health took a turn for the worse. It took a few years to truly get back on my feet, but with the support and prayers of my family, I was able to finally get there. This made me realise how fragile life is and that I should truly priorities the dreams that makes me happy.
I have been so blessed to have been able to explore many countries since (and still exploring), met so many wonderful people, seen unbelievable sights, and ate some of the most mouth-watering dishes, which still makes me drool at the thought of them. And I’m doing it all as a young Muslim woman in a Hijab.
