I’m a Mauritian-born, London-raised, solo Muslim female traveller, former QA Tester and Cybersecurity Engineer, turned creative entrepreneur and founder of The Veiled Explorer.
A soulful AI meets real-world travel platform, reimagining what it means to travel, heal and grow in alignment with faith.
How It All Began
Over the past decade, I’ve travelled to 30+ countries often as a solo hijabi, while juggling a demanding tech career and navigating chronic illness, burnout, and trauma.
In 2019, I took my first solo trip to Thailand and Singapore, determined to prove that it was both possible and spiritually valid for a Muslim woman to travel alone.
What I didn’t expect was how that journey would deepen my connection to Allah and begin my healing in ways I never imagined.
Now, I’ve left the corporate 9–5 and I’m building a soul-aligned business rooted in freedom, faith, and fulfilment.
The Veiled Explorer
At first, The Veiled Explorer was just a blog. A place to document my experiences as a solo hijabi traveller and hopefully inspire one other woman to do the same.
But it’s since evolved into something far greater.
The Veiled Explorer is a platform that intertwines travel and healing with AI tools, for a more meaningful and transformative travel experience.
It’s a combination of my real-world experiences, faith-aligned teachings and therapeutic tools to help you explore the world and yourself on a deeper level.
